Posted by Uni Immigration on 2020-08-12

A simple translation from the original Malaysian government announcement:
- Due to the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Malaysian government has decided to temporarily suspend the My Second Home Program (MM2H)
- The MM2H program will be revisited based on a comparative study of equivalent MM2H programs such as Citizenship by Investment (CBI) or Residence by Investment (RBI) on standards, conditions, and incentives.
- During the suspension period, various ministries and agencies involved in processing MM2H applications are also affected.MOTAC is unable to process any new applications, including applications that have already been submitted.
- Therefore, foreigners who are still interested in participating in the MM2H program,You are welcome to apply in compliance with the current government requirements when the MM2H program is restarted.Foreigners are advised to continue to seek foreigner visas recognized and provided by other Malaysian authorities.
- MOTAC hopes that all related parties will support the government’s attempt to improve the MM2H scheme and that the revised MM2H scheme will be comparable to other similar schemes internationally.
Thanks.
